Last week was my friend Austin Manuel’s EP release show. I’ve been a more-or-less consistent accompanist to his music since we were both in high school, and I currently play trumpet and sing BGVs.
I’ve seen his songs progress from formless 6-minute meanderings to well-crafted compositions along the way. This is (probably) my favorite song off the new EP, which is titled “Envy the Moon.”

this video made me smile like a six-year-old kid. even though the video is new, it totally captured that old magic of the muppets back in the 80’s while jim henson was still alive.
here’s a general rule for my life: if you don’t like the muppets, we can’t be friends.
